The moto g9 power – which was officially unveiled by the Motorola today – is fitted with an absolutely massive 6,000mAh battery. Motorola said this power pack is able to provide up to 60 hours worth of juice, meaning if you forget your charger on a weekend away you needn’t worry about running out of power. While lockdown measures mean we won’t be going on trips away anytime soon, the huge battery pack on the moto g9 power will still give users plenty of continuous use at home, whether that’s binging boxsets on its 6.8inch screen or surfing the web.
Speaking about the moto g9 power, Motorola said: “Motorola leverages years of superior expertise in the mid-tier to create this powerful new device that stands out in this segment to give you more of what you want for less.
“If you want the biggest battery ever offered in a Motorola device to keep you powered for days, and a class-leading camera and display experience, now you got it.
“Introducing the moto g9 power, a powerful new device in the moto g family delivering next-gen features that let you share your unique story and pursue your passions without missing out on other impressive camera, performance, and display technology.”
For the first time ever, the upcoming new Motorola handset introduces a 64MP main camera sensor into the power line of the moto g series.
The triple rear camera is also complemented by a pair of 2MP sensors – one a macro sensor for close-ups and another for depth shots.
The moto g9 power is also equipped with a 16MP front-facing camera for all your selfie needs.
Speaking of the camera, the new moto g device will also feature an “exclusive” Motorola feature which will help make your social media posts pop.
The spot colour feature is back and better than before, and while previously photos were only supported this time videos are as well.
Spot colour lets a Motorola user create predominantly black and white videos or pictures where one other contrasting colour of their choice stands out.
It’s very quirky and stylish and will help to make your Instagram, Facebook or Twitter posts look a little bit different.
Speaking about the moto g9 power’s camera, Motorola said: “Quad Pixel technology ensures that every photo turns out sharp and bright no matter the setting thanks to 4x more light sensitivity.
“Turn everyday photos into pro-looking portraits with the depth sensor, and capture the tiny details you’d otherwise miss with a dedicated Macro Vision that brings you 4x closer to your subject.
“Whether it’s an intricate flower or the inner workings of a watch, get to within 2.5cm.
“And the front-facing 16 MP selfie cam with Quad Pixel technology means your selfies are always Instagram worthy.”

“And, whether keeping in touch with loved ones or capturing photos with the high-performance camera system, enjoy the lag-free performance from the Snapdragon mobile platform.
“With 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage built-in, you have the room and multitasking power to easily switch between all your favourite movies, songs, apps, and games.”
