Google fans are facing a hugely frustrating day with many services such as Drive Gmail and Hangouts going offline. The tech gremlins appear to have started around 11.50am this morning with thousands still left unable to use these services.
Data from independent website DownDetector, which tracks the server status of online services based on mentions across social media, has been showing thousands of Google users unable to access many of its services. At its peak, some 3,500 Gmail users were complaining every minute about being unable to send messages.
