If Samsung’s vision of the future becomes a reality then we could soon see robots packing the dishwasher, feeding our pets and even pouring us a glass of wine after a busy day. The Korean technology firm has just revealed its latest gadgets and gizmos at the CES technology event with these robotic helpers stealing the show.

Samsung says it has long been at the forefront of AI and robotics innovation but these latest mechanical machines are the closest thing yet to actually having a robot in your home. Perhaps the most impressive of the bunch is the Bot Handy6 which can perform a wide range of household chores.

This one-armed machine can take care of the less exciting parts of your day such as packing the dishwasher and giving rooms a quick spring clean.

With the ability to tell the difference between the material composition of various objects it can even pour you a glass of wine in the evening or bring you a chilled glass of water without you lifting a finger.

For those working from home, the next Robot Samsung revealed could help relieve some stress.

The Bot Care5 will keep a close eye on you and jump in when it thinks you need some help.

Clever AI means it’s able to recognise and respond to your behaviour and help with your daily diary, setting video calls and even warning when you’ve been working for too long.

Along with these two robot helpers Samsung also revealed a new device which checks on your pets and feeds them when it thinks they are hungry and there’s also a new vacuum cleaner which springs into life when it spots any mess on your floor.

Packed with sensors the JetBot 90 AI+ can track down dirt and suck it up and don’t worry about this cleaner bashing into you posh furniture as LiDAR and 3D sensors allow to avoid cables and small objects.

“Our world looks different, and many of you have been faced with a new reality–one where, among other things, your home has taken on a greater significance,” said Sebastian Seung, President and Head of Samsung Research, the advanced R&D hub of the company that leads the development of future technologies for Samsung Electronics’ SET (end-products), addressing the company’s efforts to enhance the at-home technology experience.

“Our innovations are designed to provide more personal and more intuitive experiences that express your personality. We’re hard at work to bring you next-generation innovation, with AI as the core enabler, for your better tomorrow.”

Don’t forget! If you love all things Samsung then the firm is holding another showcase later this week where it will reveal its next generation of Galaxy devices. Express.co.uk will be bringing all the news live from this Unpacked event so watch this space for full details.
