While the WoW Shadowlands release date has been locked in for later this month, that doesn’t mean Blizzard doesn’t have any else planned.
As many gamers will already know, a new World of Warcraft event is launching this week and we have a rough idea on when to expect things to kick off.
The WoW Shadowlands pre-patch event has been on the PTR for some time, so many WoW fans will have already experienced the new quest.
And from what has been shared so far, it won’t be long before everyone else is taking on the new invasion of the Scourge.
WOW SHADOWLANDS PRE PATCH EVENT TIME
According to Blizzard, the WoW Shadowlands pre-patch event will be arriving on Tuesday, November 10, 2020.
The bad news is that the development team hasn’t provided a schedule for when to expect the new event to appear on servers.
However, the good news is that we do know when downtime has been scheduled for this week.
And based off of that, it looks like the WoW Shadowlands pre-patch event release time has been set for just after 9 am PDT.
Meanwhile, a maintenance period for EU servers has been scheduled for around 4 am GMT on November 11.
The new Shadowlands pre-patch event includes the return of zombies and a new quest which involves visiting Icecrown and finding out what’s going on.
This will lead to a big Scourge invasion, an event that will no doubt keep fans busy until WoW Shadowlands launches on November 23.
Blizzard has confirmed that the new WoW Shadowlands release date has been set for November 23, 2020, in the United States.
Some gamers were predicting the big rollout out the very next day, as Tuesdays are the usual time for updates and patches.
But World of Warcraft fans will no doubt be ecstatic to find out they are having to wait a day less and won’t be finding themselves holding on following another delay.
While Blizzard has confirmed that WoW Shadowlands will be rolling out on November 23 in the United States, the new expansion will be going live in Europe on November 24.
This is due to the current time difference, with the official launch time for WoW Shadowlands set for 3 pm PDT in the US, and midnight in Central Europe.
A message from Blizzard confirms: “On behalf of the entire World of Warcraft team, I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank-you for your patience as we’ve continued to work on Shadowlands, and for all of the words of support after we made the tough decision to delay the game.
“Today, I’m happy to share that the expansion will be arriving November 23 at 3 p.m. PST (November 24 at 12 a.m. CET).
“We’d like to thank everyone across the WoW community who helped us get where we are today, including players levelling up new characters in the Shadowlands pre-patch (and keeping Azeroth’s barbers extra busy), as well as all the beta testers who continue to provide us with invaluable feedback on the expansion.
“Now that we have our launch date, we’re also excited to tell you that our pre-launch event will kick off November 10, so steel yourselves to take on a flood of the Scourge.
“In addition, we’ve set a December 8 date for the opening of our first raid, Castle Nathria—which takes players into the heart of Sire Denathrius’ lair in Revendreth—along with the start of Shadowlands Season 1.”
