WandaVision could be slowly leading up to recreate the comic book arc, House of M, in which Wanda finds out that she lost her children, who were fathered by Vision.
After she realises what ill fate has befallen her, she proceeded to go on a rampage and remove every trace of mutants (as seen in X-Men) from the world, eradicating all of their powers in the process.
While the mutants have not yet made their debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe just yet, WandaVision could be the beginning of their arrival.
