The recoupling has brought the devastating blow of fiery Rosie Williams leaving the villa.
The dumped islander struggled with her partner Adam Collard over recent days when his head turned for new girl Zara McDermott , leaving Rosie at sea without anyone to love.
They had some fierce bust ups since then, with Adam’s behaviour being called into question by fans and charity Women’s Aid who were concerned he was gaslighting.
But the two made up before the recoupling, and Rosie hoped her work with sexy newcomer Sam Bird would save her from being sent home.
Much to her dismay, Sam was left with two girls to choose from, Rosie and Samira Mighty .
He dated both the girls along with Ellie Brown during the afternoon, and hit it off with both the free agents, with Samira declaring: “We’ve got really strong last names. How good would it be? Samira Mighty and Sam Bird?”
Rosie tried to sprinkle her magic on the newcomer but he opted for Samira, sending her home.
On her departure she said: “I’m absolutely gutted to have left the villa. I don’t feel like my journey should have come to an end, I still wanted to find somebody who really wanted to make a relationship with me.
“Unfortunately, it was completely out of my control. After spending time with Sam, there could have been potential – we got on lot quicker than I expected when he walked in and we spent a lot more time together than the other girls so I was a bit shocked when he picked Samira but I’m happy for her.”
There was no surprises when Jack Fincham chose Dani Dyer , and Wes Nelson chose Laura Anderson .
Badboy Adam Collard, whose head turning has now led to the early departure of Rosie and Kendall Rae Knight, chose Zara McDermott in the recoupling while Eyal Booker kept with his partner Megan Barton Hanson , with whom he christened the Hideaway in a very intimate time last night.
Dr Alex George finally copped off with Ellie , escaping his friendship couple with Samira, but luckily his actions didn’t send Samira home when Sam chose to save her, sending poor Rosie out of the villa.
But how will the new couples gel – are they definitely their type on paper?
