PS5 stock hunters should add AO.com to Currys PC World and Argos on their watch list, with the online store saying more stock should be arriving soon. After a week of looking over with envy at PlayStation fans who last week saw the PS5 launch in regions such as the US and Japan, this week marked the turn of Sony players in the UK and Europe. On Thursday November 19 the PS5 at long last landed in Blighty, and to mark the launch of the ninth generation console new stock was available to purchase on day one.

PS5 stock was available at Amazon UK, GAME, John Lewis and Very – but stock sold out at lightning fast speeds, with a number of websites crashing amid huge demand.

If you missed out on bagging a PS5 on day one, or landing a coveted PS5 pre-order in the run-up to launch, then there will be other opportunities coming up.

AO.com were one of the retailers that took wave one PS5 pre-orders back in September when pre-orders first became available.

And while AO.com didn’t have PS5 stock available to buy on day one, their website currently has a message saying more stock should be arriving soon.

AO.com said: “Thank you to everyone who has visited us and placed an order for a PS5. If you were not able to purchase one, we should have more stock arriving soon, please continue to check back online for further updates.”

Elsewhere Currys PC World originally were meant to start taking orders for the PS5 at 9am GMT on release day but this ended up getting delayed.

And then a few hours after announcing this delay the retailer’s Twitter account said they wouldn’t be taking any PS5 orders on day one.

The @CurrysPCWorld Twitter posted: “PS5 Update. There will be no PS5s available to buy today.

“We know that this is disappointing news, and we are working super hard to get more stock.

“Please check our social channels for further updates on availability”.

We’ll have to wait and see whether another PS5 stock update from Currys could be announced today, or if this will be coming at a later date.

Elsewhere, those looking to bag a PS5 should keep a close eye on the Argos website as well.

Like AO.com, Argos previously took pre-orders for the PS5 back in September but on the console’s release date they didn’t have any stock available.

Thankfully though, on the retailer website’s they said they will be getting more PS5 stock “soon”.

Argos said: “We don’t have any stock available for launch day but we’ll have more soon. Sign up and we’ll let you know as soon as have more detail.”

In other PS5 stock news, the Stock Informer page for the PlayStation 5 said more PS5 stock has become available today (Friday November 20) at Laptops Direct.

However, this is a bundle that costs just shy of £1,000 and includes a PS5 console as well as 31.5inch 4K gaming monitor.

Of course, scalpers on eBay also have the PS5 listed at inflated prices – but we would highly, highly recommend steering clear of this.

Sony has said they are working hard to meet demand for the PS5 in the run-up to Christmas and after it.

So you will be able to get the PS5 at some point in the future without having to pay well over the odds for it.

Speaking in the run-up to the PS5 launch, PlayStation boss Jim Ryan said Sony had been left “astounded” by the level of pre-orders for the system.

And Ryan also said: “We’re making more PS5’s in this difficult environment then we made PS4s in that launch. If people are unable to find one at launch, we’re very sorry and apologetic about that.

“They can rest assured we’re working really hard to get significant supplies into the market before and after Christmas.

“This is going to be a bigger launch [than the PS4]. And I think given the circumstances we’re in, that’s something that we can be quietly proud of.”
