PS Plus fans can save big on the price of a PlayStation Plus membership ahead of the fast-approaching PS5 launch. On Thursday November 12 the next-generation console from Sony will land, arriving first in regions such as the US and Japan with UK gamers see the PS5 launch a week later on Thursday November 19. And for those PlayStation fans that didn’t feel the need for a PS Plus membership during the PS4 era, it looks like PS Plus membership could end up being a virtually essential buy.

That’s not just because of the online play and free monthly games that PS Plus offers.

It’s because PS Plus will now include the PS Plus Collection for PS5 gamers, giving them access to almost two dozen essential games from the PS4 era from day one.

Titles such as Bloodborne, God of War, Persona 5, Uncharted 4, Until Dawn and The Last Guardian are all included in the PlayStation Plus Collection.

Not only that, but you’ll be getting access to the best version possible of these titles – offering increased loading speed and improved or more stable framerates thanks to PS5’s Game Boost.

Having a PS Plus membership will give PS5 fans plenty to play at launch. And that’s not the only day one treat for PlayStation 5.

The November 2020 PS Plus line-up includes its first ever free PS5 game – the adorable and charming Bugsnax which is getting added to the latest PS Plus monthly line-up on November 12.

Bugsnax will be available as a free PS5 game from Thursday November 12 till January 4 2021.

There are plenty of great reasons to get a PS Plus membership if you don’t already have one.

And thankfully there are two money-saving deals running right now that PlayStation fans can take advantage.

First up is an offer reported by Twisted Voxel, with Sony reportedly e-mailing some existing PS Plus members offering a discount.

Ahead of the launch of the PS5 this limited time offer, which requires a code to take advantage of, offers a 25 percent discount on three month and 12 month PS Plus subscriptions.

You have to be sent a required code to take advantage of this PS Plus offer, which runs out after Monday November 9.

The e-mail says: “Fancy a 25% discount on your next 3 or 12 months of PlayStation Plus?

“It’ll be time to pay your subscription fee soon, so this exclusive discount code to redeem at PlayStation Store could be coming at just the right moment.

“Choose a 3-month or 12-month PS Plus subscription and enter your code at the checkout – the extra time will be added straight onto your current subscription.

“Don’t delay, your code expires on 11:59 PM on November 9 and you can only use it once.”

If you haven’t been sent this e-mail then there’s thankfully another money saving deal you can take advantage of.

At the time of writing, ShopTo are offering a big discount on a year’s worth of PS Plus access.
