One Direction was brought to a sad end in November of 2015, after the band announced they would be going on an indefinite hiatus. Since then, no news has been given about the four members of the team getting back together anytime soon. The beginning of the end for the band came just eight months earlier, when Zayn Malik announced he was leaving the band.
On March 19, 2015, during the On the Road Again Tour Zayn announced his exit.
Six days later, on March 25, 2015, Zayn departed the band completely, citing “stress”, and wanting to live a “normal” 22-year-old life.
The rest of the band, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson, were then left without Zayn for the rest of the Asian leg of their world tour.
Just two months later, the new quartet were back on form, and were attending awards ceremonies, and doing press.

Of course, at the time the band may not have been thinking about breaking up at all.
Looking back it certainly seems like the four stars were not considering bringing their time to an end.
Since then, each of the band members – Zayn included – have released their own solo albums, seeing a lot of success, with Niall’s Heartbreak Weather coming out this past February, and reaching number one in the UK and Irish album charts.
Earlier in the 2015 interview Liam announced the awards they were due to win were also being shared by Zayn – despite the fact he was no longer part of the band.
On Zayn leaving, Liam said: “It is obviously a difficult thing to talk about.
“But everything is all fine. We’re good with him, he’s all good with us, sort of thing.
“He left for his own reasons, and he’s doing his own thing now, so you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do.”
He added: “You know, one of the awards we’re winning tonight is also for him, so he’s sharing the experience with us even though he’s not here.”
