Adam Collard’s behaviour has shocked both viewers and the islanders as he callously smiled while Rosie Williams cried in front of him.
The playboy had turned his head for four girls in two weeks, and Rosie was left crying in front of him as she tried to share her feelings for him.
But after new boy Sam Bird came in last night and made sure Adam knew his action’s weren’t acceptable, the badboy apologises to Rosie for his actions.
He takes her to one side and says: “I think that obviously things with me and you haven’t really worked out the best. And I’m sorry.
“I am actually sorry if you felt that way. Whatever you felt, I’m sorry that I upset you. I don’t like seeing anyone cry.”
Rosie responds to him: “I appreciate that. Seeing you and Zara and the way you are, I just think, because obviously we were close and when we were good we were good, but I didn’t not try if you get me.
“It was a bit both ways. It takes two to make an effort.”
The pair finally call a truce after a few days of anger, tears and frustration, and Rosie says: “That’s all I wanted, was to be your friend. But I did want you to know that I did really like you and I did have feelings for you.
“It was never fake on my part anyway and I did want to see what would happen and obviously it hasn’t worked out. All I want is just to be friends with you so I’m glad you pulled me up. Thank you. Want to hug it out?”
In the Beach Hut, Adam says: “I really do hope she gets whatever she wants to get out of the villa. I really do because it’s not nice seeing someone upset and hopefully it’ll be a bit of a distraction as well as something real.
“Me and Zara have got something going on so hopefully she can too.”
Adam had chosen Rosie over Kendall Rae Knight, which meant poor Kendall was sent packing after a short time in the villa.
When Megan Barton Hanson came in, Adam didn’t hesitate in making a play for her, causing Rosie to publicly shame him for his snakey behaviour.
But more recently Zara McDermott arrived, and Adam’s head fully turned, meaning he pretty much ignored Rosie to set his sights on Zara.
Rosie was completely heartbroken, especially after the two became intimate the night before, so she tried to explain her feelings to him.
She became pretty enraged as he sneered in her face, which made viewers blast the personal trainer for lacking remorse.
Charity Women’s Aid even called Adam’s behaviour “emotionally abusive” and said he had been gaslighting, meaning he made Rosie feel the breakdown of the relationship was all her fault.
Rosie tried to teach him a little lesson by posing in lingerie for a photoshoot in the garden, but it backfired when a disgusted Adam refused to share a bed with her that night.
But after the pair make up will Rosie have time to move on from Adam or will a recoupling mean she has to couple up quick?
Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
