EastEnders star Shona McGarty has been spotted on a day off from the BBC soap.

The 26-year-old actress headed out to lunch with her fiancé Ryan Harris – and looked miles apart from her alter-ego.

Shona’s character Whitney Dean is well known for her raven black hair and heavy makeup.

Going makeup-free, Shona pulled on a pair of black jeans and a matching jumper for the relaxed outing with her electrician fiancé.

She wore fluffy flat boots and toted a small handbag on her rare day off.

Shona wore her bright red hair scraped back in a ponytail.

She’s been dating Ryan since 2013 and confirmed their engagement in January this year.

She told OK! magazine that he hid the ring in a box on top of her birthday cake.

“When I opened it there was a ring inside and I turned around and Ryan was down on one knee and I started crying,” she said.

Ryan already has two children from a previous relationship, Scarlett and Alfie, and Shona is looking forward to adding to the family.

“I come from a big Irish family so I want loads of children – we’d definitely like a large family,” she said.
