Aside from multiple concert tours, the coronavirus pandemic has seen major music festivals like Glastonbury cancelled in 2021. And despite the uncertainty surrounding even next summer, Lytham Festival has optimistically announced its line-up for next June/July. Headlining the five-day event are Diana Ross, Lewis Capaldi, Snow Patrol, Lionel Richie and Duran Duran.
Lancashire’s biggest music festival will take place over five nights from Wednesday, June 30 to Sunday, July 4.
Festival director Peter Taylor said: “We are so incredibly excited to be announcing our full line-up for Lytham Festival 2021.
“Lionel Richie and Diana Ross are two of the world’s most iconic artists, there is no bigger British artist right now than Lewis Capaldi, and in Snow Patrol, we have one of the most influential bands of the last 20 years.
“Duran Duran are global superstars. It is no secret that a massive amount of Lytham Festival fans have been asking for them to perform on our lovely Green for more than 10 years, so we can’t wait to welcome them and the whole of this incredible line-up to wonderful Leafy Lytham.”

Diana Ross was due to perform the Sunday legends slot at Glastonbury this year and presumably will for the postponed festival in 2021.
Glastonbury’s General Counsel Ben Challis has reassured that the event still plans to go ahead in June.
He told Behind The Noise Podcast: “For 2021 we will have to start building in March, or the end of March because it’s a big festival and it takes a lot to build, and no one wants to do a ‘light Glastonbury’.
“The plan would be to rebook the 2020 bill, it will move everything, including our 50th-anniversary celebration to 2021.”
Aside from Diana Ross, Sir Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift were set to perform at Glastonbury 2020.
Presumably, the artists will all be performing at the 2021 festival since it was postponed.
Meanwhile, Lionel Richie, Lewis Capaldi, Snow Patrol and Duran Duran are also headlining Isle of Wight Festival.
The music event will take place from June 17-20, a week before Glastonbury is due to take place.
