This week will see the launch of the penultimate Trials of Osiris event in Destiny 2 Season 11, with Beyond Light scheduled to launch on November 10. The Trials will be kicking off today, October 29, at around 5pm GMT, or 10am PT if you live in the United States. It should be noted that there could be a slight discrepancy in start times as the clocks haven’t gone back yet in the United States. As always, Guardians will have the chance to grab new loot, which can be traded for Legendary Shards.
Returning players will want to visit Saint-14 just, who will be located in the Tower Hangar.
The Osiris reset offers a new inventory of Trials Passages, Bounties, and the option to turn in Trials Tokens.
At the same time that the Trials event kick-off, we should find out more about where Xur is, and what stuff he is offering.
Both the Trials and Xur will be available until November 3, which is when the Weekly Reset will happen.
It will be the final Season 11 reset, with the launch of the Beyond Light expansion scheduled for the week after.
Bungie has been speaking a lot about its upcoming expansion, which will be known as the Season of the Hunt.
There’s been no news on the rumoured live event, but we do know that there will be plenty of things to do on Europa, with Bungie confirming this week: “Destiny 2: Beyond Light kicks off on November 10 with Guardians travelling to Europa to investigate the threats, mysteries, and power residing there.
“Season of the Hunt also begins on November 10 — you will be able to start earning ranks and rewards from the Season Pass, claim your Artifact, and begin to customize it as you power it up.
“This Season’s story mission and new Wrathborn Hunts activity will kick off the following week on Nov 17.
“Starting with Season of the Hunt, most of the Seasonal content and all of the sweet gear will be sticking around for all of year 4.
Bungie has also confirmed how the Trials of Osiris will be affected by the launch of the Beyond Light expansion, including the loot that will be available earn.
Adept Weapons will be making a return, with the development team telling Guardians this month:
“Beginning in Beyond Light, all existing Trials weapons have Adept versions. Our intent is for all new Trials weapons to have an Adept version in the future, with their infusion caps matching the Season they were introduced in.
“For our first round of Adepts, their infusion caps will be set to that of Season of the Worthy. Additionally, we will be introducing Adept weapon mods into the sandbox in Beyond Light, which can only be applied to Adept weaponry.”
“Masterworking an Adept weapon grants additional stats. +10 for the primary stat as usual (the specific Masterwork of the weapon).
“+3 for all alternate stats. Adept weapons can use either a standard weapon mod or a new Adept weapon mod earned when going Flawless. A unique Adept shader has been made for these weapons.
