If you play a lot of Call of Duty Warzone, you’ve probably noticed a few changes this week. Bunkers remain open, and the ground loot remains largely the same. There are no more Night-Time maps to play outside of Zombie Royale, and COD gamers are also reporting something else. An increase in Juggernaut drops affecting games in Modern Warfare Warzone. While I’ve personally noticed an increase in steely monsters appearing in games, it hasn’t had that much effect on me winning.
That’s largely because I fail to win most games in Call of Duty Warzone. But there have been a few where the final circle has been dominated by a Juggernaut, which makes for a hard to win scenario without the right tools.
COD fans have been discussing the reported increase in Juggernaut Killstreaks and blaming the process of getting one.
This includes gaining access to a Warzone Bunker via a Red Key Card or a Code, and then finding one inside the special loot box.
What makes Juggernauts so lethal, apart from the massive gun, is that for every downed enemy you eliminate, you can regenerate some health.
This makes facing one closer to the end of the game pretty difficult unless you have favourable ground, or a nice AirStrike in reserve.
One user affected by the increase sparked a large debate on the subject, asking gamers:
Another comment reads: “Since you can’t communicate with each other In Solos, will you be “teaming up” with other players to destroy the Jugg, or will you just continue racking up kills and hope for the best?”
“It’s the Subway easter egg bunker update. Previously the loot from the bunker was 1x specialist, 1x adv UAV, 2x durable gas mask and 1x foresight.
“The update changed this to 2x specialist, 2x adv UAV and 1x jugg. You can do this in every game where the circle covers the dam.”
There have been several posts claiming that by completing the Subway easter egg, you are guaranteed to receive a Juggernaut.
It’s unclear if this is the reason behind the increase in Juggernaut Drops, but with enough feedback, fans have a good chance of having this strategy dialled back by developers Infinity Ward.
