Ellis said: “I started to write with other writers…we came up with this new Christmas song and I played it to Brian last year.”
After listening to the demo, the Queen legend suggested they work on it together.
The pair left the track for a little while then halfway through this year, Ellis suggested they get back to work on it again during the lockdown.
The 41-year-old said: “He had some amazing suggestions…changed some of the lyrics and obviously played in a few of the melodies. And then we came up with this One Beautiful Christmas Day, which I’m so proud of!”
