Yesterday Queen and Adam Lambert said they were heartbroken to announce their UK and European tour would be postponed by another year due to the pandemic. Brian May has since posted the new tour dates, including two extra concerts, on his Instagram. The 73-year-old shared his sadness that the band won’t be performing live for even longer.
May wrote: “Yes – sadly we have to postpone again. Gutted.
“But we have rescheduled exactly a year later – and all tickets currently held will be valid – and – we’ve added extra dates !!! Yes … I know.
“It’s not an outcome any of us wanted. But currently humanity is besieged – and the only weapons we have are purely defensive.”
The Queen guitarist then went on criticise the UK government for not going into the first lockdown last March sooner.

Queen and Adam Lambert have remained active in lockdown, having released charity single We Are The Champions which they recorded remotely.
While they also released their first album together in Live Around The World, featuring concert highlights including the Live Aid set at Fire Fight Australia.
The record hit UK No 1 and is available in a variety of formats including as a concert movie.
