The Animal Crossing Turkey Day event is now in full swing and comes with its own special content.

Nintendo Switch fans may not have had to download a big new update, but there’s certainly a ton of stuff worth checking out this week.

Turkey Day is just the latest seasonal event to hit the popular Switch title, with other festive treats being lined up.

On Turkey Day, which will take place this year on November 26, the first-class chef Franklin will arrive and host a gathering in the plaza.

You can help Franklin collect ingredients to go in the dishes that will be on display in the plaza, and you can even receive a gift from Franklin as a thank you for helping him cook.

So to get involved in all the Turkey Day adventures available, you need to head down to the plaza, situated outside of the Residential Services.

Franklin isn’t particularly prepared for Turkey Day, otherwise, you wouldn’t be tasked with finding all the ingredients for the main dishes, clam chowder, pumpkin pie, gratin and fish meunière.

And after you have helped complete these tasks, you’ll also get the chance to add your own Animal Crossing Turkey Day secret ingredients.

This will mean talking to Franklin AFTER the correct dish has been cooked and you have the secret ingredient in your inventory.

This will upgrade the dish and by improving all four being served, you can claim a special reward.

The Villagers can help hunt down what you need if you’re having trouble doing it yourself, and these will be the ones who have stayed home.

This will mean trading items, which shouldn’t be too difficult if you can’t find the normal ingredients by yourself.

TURKEY DAY SECRET INGREDIENTS

CLAM CHOWDER: Secret ingredient to upgrade the clam chowder is Scallop, which can be found while diving for sea creatures.

Rewards can include any number of Turkey Day items, or the Cozy Turkey Day DIY recipe set.

PUMPKIN PIE: The two secret ingredients for the Pumpkin Pie are the Pumpkin colours not asked for by Franklin. It will depend on which ones are asked for, meaning it could be orange, green, white or yellow.

GRATIN: The secret ingredient needed by Franklin is the Dungeness Crab, which can be found while diving around your island. If you can’t find one, you can try and trade for one from a Villager.

MEUNIÈRE: The secret ingredient needed by Franklin is the Barred Knifejaw, which can be caught by fishing off your island, or by trading.
