Before this album, the band was known as Björn & Benny, Agnetha & Anni-Frid, however, this album named them as ABBA (Björn & Benny, Agnetha & Anni-Frid,) likely so as to not cause confusion for fans.
Other than Waterloo, there were also a few stand-out tracks for the band, but this was all to change on their 1975 album ABBA.
While it was Waterloo which gained the band worldwide recognition, the release of I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do which helped to cement it, along with following tracks SOS and Mamma Mia.
After this album came a greatest hits album, bizarrely, though it included a new song Fernando, which was another sensation and was in the charts for a very long time.
