With the final week of February upon us, it looks like gamers will get a limited chance at buying a PS5 stock before the end of the month.
And without any clear updates being shared directly by UK retailers, console hunters have to rely on unofficial stock trackers.
This week’s latest rumours and PS5 restock reports are in for which stores will be offering more consoles before the end of the month.
From what is being shared so far by @PS5Instant and @UKPS5Notify, a PS5 stock update is coming to Currys.
We don’t have a set time or day for when this will be happening, but it should be arriving before March 1.
And Currys won’t be the only retailer to offer more stock, with PlayStation 5s expected to arrive at Hughes and BT.
The only downside is that we don’t know if any other UK digital stores will be joining them.
This means that other leading retailers like Argos might be waiting until next month before restocking PlayStation consoles.
@PS5Instant shared earlier this month: “So looks like the Currys drop won’t happen till the start of next week. This will be one of the last proper stock drops until the new stock shipment comes in between 8th and 15th March.
“Currys, Hughes and BT + EE are likely to drop the start of next week. GAME aren’t due in any shipment of PS5s this month. They could release small number of cancelled or uncollected orders, this would be 100s at best.
“Scalping is becoming less profitable. PS5s price on eBay went average £680 to £620 (disc and dig) with these last drops. Most stores are receiving a new shipment of PS5s in the first week of March, there’s no reason to buy from scalpers right now.”
As ever, these updates need to be taken with a pinch of salt as they are not being shared directly by Currys, Argos or Game.
Based on these reports, it looks like Currys will be one of the next stores to offer PS5 stock, with Argos’ next restock unconfirmed.
Meanwhile, @UKPS5Notify has a slightly different outlook, sharing that “According to their (Currys) CS they will be receiving their stock on 5th March with pre-orders going live on the 1st March.”
The stock tracker account also shares that Game could be offering a stock update before March, telling gamers this weekend:
“GAME’s next PlayStation 5 release date has now changed to 08/03 indicating we could see their pre-orders go live as early as next week.”
Whatever does happen, gamers can expect to wait a few days before we get a clearer picture of the restock situation.
And even then, it will be up to the UK retailers when they drop their latest stock, with Argos’ latest drop arriving at 3am, mid-week.
