After an incredible start to 2020 with a string of concerts in Asia and Oceania, Queen and Adam Lambert were looking forward to the UK and European leg of their Rhapsody tour. However, the pandemic saw those concerts, including a 10 night residency at London’s The O2, rescheduled to 2021. And now Brian May, Roger Taylor and the singer are “heartbroken” to announced that they are having to postpone their highly-anticipated tour to summer 2022.
Queen and Adam Lambert said today: “Under continuing Europe-wide Covid restrictions there’s no possible way the tour can go ahead as planned for this year.
“The prospect of again not being able to look forward to performing and getting to experience those wonderful audiences is just heartbreaking.”
To ease their loyal fans’ disappointment the trio have announced a couple of extra dates for their 2022 UK and European tour.
The two new shows will be a couple of concerts at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow on June 2 and 3.

In the meantime, Queen and Adam Lambert have kept themselves busy by releasing a charity single recorded remotely in lockdown called We Are The Champions for the Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organisation.
While a YouTube Tour Watch Party of live highlights inspired the band to release their first album together in Live Around The World.
The UK No 1 record, available on physical and digital formats and now as a concert movie, included some of their best live performances from the last decade, including the sensational 1985 Live Aid set the band performed at Fire Fight Australia last year.
Tickets for the new Glasgow dates are on sale from 11am tomorrow and can be accessed here at that time.
